Humane Carolina is a North Carolina grassroots animal advocacy organization established in 1999, committed to eliminating animal neglect, suffering and exploitation. We promote a compassionate lifestyle and work to advance social change for animals through community outreach, public education and grassroots lobbying. We focus our efforts in the Triangle (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) area of North Carolina.
The Intelligence of Pigs Pigs are highly social animals with sophisticated learning and problem solving abilities. They are usually rated 4th in overall intelligence, behind chimps, dolphins and elephants. They have the intelligence of a 3 year-old child and enjoy playing with balls. More>>
